Stonewall Forest Academy
School Calendar & Schedule (2026–2027)
Stonewall Forest Academy follows a Nordic-style school calendar inspired by education systems in Denmark and Finland. Instead of one long summer break, the year includes shorter breaks spaced throughout the year to support steady learning and reduce academic regression.
Students attend school on a three-day core schedule each week, with an optional fourth enrichment day available for families who would like additional learning time.
This structure allows Stonewall Forest Academy to meet Tennessee’s 180-day instructional requirement while supporting a healthier rhythm for students and families.

This schedule reflects a Nordic learning rhythm in which students experience consistent instruction followed by regular breaks throughout the year. Research and international practice show this structure helps:
