A little community of families learning and growing together.

Stonewall Forest is a gathering place for local homeschooling families who want to share in the richness of a Charlotte Mason-inspired education. We believe children flourish when they have time to explore the natural world, encounter great books and beautiful ideas, cultivate good habits, and grow in knowledge, creativity, and character.

We also believe homeschooling doesn’t have to happen alone.

Here, a handful of families come together to share the work and wonder of educating our children. One parent might lead an art lesson, another share a love of music, and another invite us into the garden or kitchen. We bring our individual gifts, interests, and talents to serve our little community, creating opportunities for our children to learn from one another and from the adults around them.

There is room for families who want to participate in everything and those who simply want to join us for certain days, lessons, or shared activities. We each tend our own homeschool while making space for friendship, collaboration, and the joys of learning together.

A Rich Education, Shared

Inspired by Charlotte Mason’s philosophy, we value living books, nature study, art, music, handicrafts, meaningful work, and the cultivation of good habits. We want to give our children more than a collection of lessons. We want to offer them a feast of ideas, experiences, relationships, and opportunities to grow.

Our days might include wandering outdoors, reading a wonderful book, learning a new skill, preparing something in the kitchen, tending a garden, making music, or gathering around a shared project. We hope to cultivate curiosity, attention, wonder, responsibility, and a love of learning that extends well beyond the school years.

Many Gifts, One Little Community

We all have something to offer. Our community grows from the interests, abilities, resources, and willingness of the families who gather here. Together, we can create experiences that might be difficult to provide alone, while giving our children the gift of learning alongside friends.

Stonewall Forest is not about doing everything perfectly or following one rigid formula. It is about families coming alongside one another, sharing what they can, and building a thoughtful, connected homeschool life in our own corner of the world.
