Summer Session

Stonewall Forest Academy offers a small-group Summer Session for children ages 3+ who benefit from continued time in a learning environment during the summer months.

The program meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM–2:30 PM and follows a gentle, purposeful rhythm that includes:

• morning chores (care of animals and the environment) 🐓🌿
• a full Montessori work cycle (approximately 2.5 hours)
• lunch together
• outdoor play and exploration

Children who still need an afternoon rest period may rest on campus, or families may choose a half-day option with pickup around 12:30 PM after lunch.

Throughout the morning work cycle, children engage with hands-on Montessori materials, practical life activities, early language and mathematics work, and daily outdoor exploration on our 56-acre property. This consistent rhythm supports independence, concentration, and confidence while helping children maintain progress between school years.

This session is especially helpful for:

• currently enrolled students continuing their Montessori work
• children preparing to enter the Primary classroom in the fall
• rising kindergarten students who benefit from additional readiness and confidence before beginning formal academics
• families exploring Montessori for the first time

Because Montessori learning builds gradually through repetition and independence, many families find that a summer session helps children enter the fall term more settled, capable, and ready to engage deeply with their work.

Priority placement is given to currently enrolled students and siblings.

Participation in the Summer Session also offers families a meaningful opportunity to experience the Primary classroom before committing to the school year program. 🌿

Enrollment Options & Tuition

Families may enroll for any individual week(s) during June and July, allowing flexibility around vacations, camps, and summer schedules.

Weekly Tuition

• $100 per week, per child for currently enrolled SFA families (“SFA Members”)
• $120 per week, per child for non-enrolled/community families

Tuition includes full days of learning, outdoor exploration, creativity, and play on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

There is no difference in tuition between half-day and full-day participation. Families may choose pickup after lunch (around 12:30 PM) if their child still benefits from an afternoon rest period.

Priority placement is given to currently enrolled students and siblings. Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain our small group size and nurturing learning environment.
