Hands-On, Nature-Based Learning for Curious, Capable Kids
Ages & Readiness
While it’s ideal to begin Montessori before or during the primary years (ages 2–4), we also welcome older children who are adaptable and ready to thrive in a mixed-age environment.
My own son is 6 and will be 7 by the next academic year. Having peers his age will be wonderful, and we’re excited to create a community where children of different ages learn from one another.
Our Weekly Rhythm
Families may choose between:
- Two-Day Program → Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
- Four-Day Program → Monday through Thursday
How We Learn
We combine the Montessori method and Charlotte Mason philosophy to create a program that develops both the mind and the character.
- Meaningful Work — Students practice gardening, cooking, arts, and other skills that encourage purpose and creativity.
- Hands-On Learning — Children engage with real materials, projects, and practical work.
- Story-Based Lessons — Rich literature and storytelling bring ideas to life.
- Nature as the Classroom — Daily outdoor exploration connects children to the world around them.
- Habit Training — We help children develop responsibility, independence, and confidence.
Small Mixed-Age Groups
Children learn in multi-age classrooms where they:
- Develop leadership by mentoring younger peers
- Gain confidence by seeing themselves progress
- Build social and emotional skills through collaboration
- Experience flexibility to learn at their own pace
A Nature-Rich Environment
Our location in Pleasant Shade, TN provides the perfect backdrop for hands-on, land-based learning. Children explore nearby forests, gardens, and meadows, connecting with the seasons and the natural world around them.
An education outside the classroom walls allows curiosity to thrive and imagination to flourish.
