Hands-on learning. Story-rich lessons. A rhythm that works for real families.
Stonewall Forest Academy serves children in Pre-K through 8th grade using a blended approach rooted in Charlotte Mason and Waldorf philosophies, with a touch of Montessori for good measure. Our days are filled with meaningful work, time in nature, rich literature, and child-led discovery.
We believe children thrive in small, mixed-age groups with space to explore, grow, and belong.
đź“… Weekly Schedule
We meet three days per week:
Tuesdays–Thursdays | 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Fridays are reserved for optional nature walks, field trips, or family enrichment.
Our small group setting allows students to build friendships, confidence, and independence—all without losing the flexibility and freedom that homeschooling allows.
📍 Location: We currently meet at the Founders’ home in Elmwood, TN while we search for the perfect permanent space.
Curriculum Overview
We group children by developmental stage and teach math by ability, not age. Lessons are short and rich, with time each day for movement, nature, and child-led exploration. On at-home days, parents receive simple guides to help reinforce what we’re learning—without stress or overwhelm.
We use the King James Version (KJV) for Bible reading and discussion.
